6th Graders Win Championship and 5th Graders take 2nd

Congrats to our 6th graders as they took 1st place in the 5th Annual Lynda Frohlich Invitational this weekend in Pomona. Great job 6th grade Champs! The girls started out the tournament playing the Pasadena JAG.  They played terrific defense to shut down the JAGs offense and played unselfishly on offense lead into easy buckets, final score of 34-15. Next up on Saturday, the girls took on the host team Fro13 OC.  Despite a huge size mismatch the 6th graders battled to the end and sealed the victory with an exciting finish and tremendous play by each one of our girls 35-34. Sunday, the girls took on NJB Rising Stars.  The girls packed the middle on defense and used some double teams to shut down there offense, final score 42-12!  In the final/championship game the 6th graders took on Chino Valley Shooting Starz. Our girls got off to a quick start offensively and got off to a huge lead. They secured the win by playing great defense, shutting down there top scorers and providing great help side defense.  Steals were followed by smart passes and easy buckets for VC Elite and a final score 42-34. Congrats girls, I'm very proud of how each one of you!
