The VC Elite
5th Grade team won the Lights Out tournament on June 7th and 8th in San Fernando Valley. In pool play they beat CBC and West Coast Dream. They did it with their full court press and transition offense. The post players got it started with strong rebounding and outlet passes. They won the championship game against SGV the same way and in the second half broke open a tight game. This team has great balance between their post players and guards. A fun team to watch!!
The 7th Grade team won two out of three games in their division. They cruised to victories over Pasadena and the Quakes but lost a tough one by two points in the final seconds to the host team Lights Out. That loss unfortunately kept them out of the championship game. Still a great showing for the 7th graders
