The VC Elite 7th graders traveled to Pasadena to play in the annual New Year's Bash tournament. It was a great tournament with 6 quality teams in their division. They got the cobwebs off on Saturday beating Swift Blue. Then things got a little crazy on Sunday with some unusual tournament scheduling. First, VC Elite beat tournament favorite West Coast Dream and with one game rest played and beat host Pasadena Vikings. Immediately following that was the championship game against No Dribble. The team kept it close for the first half but finally ran out of gas and had to settle for second place. Honestly, I could not be any happier with the way this team played going 3 - 1 against the competition that they faced with the little rest that they had. This team will be tough to beat in Ventura next weekend.
