Despite key injuries a week before the tournament the 7/8 VC Elite team managed to go 2 - 2 at the San Diego Sol tournament last weekend. The highlight of the weekend was a three point victory over Cal Sparks, one of the top girls clubs in Southern California and probably the favorite to win this tournament. The team also beat the Torrance Northstars but lost two tough ones to local teams San Diego Sol and SB Cats. It was a very competitive tournament and one that this team could have won with just a little more consistency. But we still managed to have a little fun in beautiful San Diego.
