| 3013 Cal Heat Thanksgiving Champions |
The 5th Graders continued their winning ways and won the championship in impressive style. The team posted victories over Foothill Hoops and Pasadena Vikings to make it to the championship game. Despite missing several players for the championship game they still beat the Vikings on Sunday night. This team has taken a huge step forward these last few weeks. Keep working hard in practice girls!!

The 7th/8th Grade team tried something new and entered in both the 7th and 8th grade divisions. It took several players to play for both squads to pull it off but that just shows you how deep this team is. The 8th grade team won the championship against Trouble playing perhaps one of the best first halves of basketball I have seen in a while. The 7th grade team fell one game short losing in the championship to the Vikings. I am not one to make excuses but this was the 5th game of the day for some of these players due to the way the schedule worked out. 4 games maybe... but 5 is tough. Either way, we are ready for San Diego!!
The club has a week off now and I hope that everyone has a great Thanksgiving and is able to enjoy time with their families. It wouldn't bother me if the players worked on their free throws a little during the break either.
