VC Elite Wins Big at Seaside!

VC Elite traveled to Ventura last weekend for the annual Seaside Tournament and showed that they are a force to be reckoned with in girls basketball.  The Girls Varsity won the varsity division with wins over Ventura Fusion, the Northstars and the Camarillo Thunder.  Very impressive for a team that has now only played three tournaments together.  Scroll down for more tournament results!

Girls Varsity takes Seaside Championship
The Girls 5th Grade claimed the championship in their division in only their second tournament together.  They hit a layup as time expired to win by one in the championship game over rival Pasadena Vikings.  They also slipped by the Lady Jagz of Oxnard in a thrilling overtime victory on Saturday.

The other VC Elite teams were in the hunt for championships as well.  The Girls 7th Grade team had impressive wins over Fillmore and the Camarillo Thunder before losing to a very good Aikanes team in the championship game.  The Girls 6th Grade team also made it to the championship game.  They posted victories over the Northstars and CA Fury to set up a championship game with rival Pasadena Vikings on Sunday.  Unfortunately the girls lost in a thrilling double overtime game thus adding one more chapter in this bitter rivalry.  In a very strong 8th grade division our Girls 8th Grade team won one and lost two.  Their impressive win over the Lady Jagz on Sunday prove that they have it in them to compete with anyone.
It was a great weekend for the girls and I am proud of how hard they played and how much they have all improved.  Thank you to all the parents for your support.  We promise to continue to work hard and compete.
Go Elite!!
