6th Graders Take 3rd at SGV Invitational

VC Elite traveled to Santa Ana last weekend for the SGV Invitational.  It is arguably one of the most competitive tournaments in Southern California.  Our 6th graders started off the tournament against a very big and physical San Diego Triple Threat team and only by 2 points. They went on to win the next three games against Arizona Reach, Rising Stars, and the Conejo Quakes leading them into the semi-final game against the Pasadena Vikings. Our girls fought hard against the Vikings but it wasn't enough for the victory. After a short break they started the 3rd place game against another strong and physical San Diego Sol team. It was the 6th graders best overall performance of the tournament, moving the ball very well on offense and creating easy buckets as well as playing tenacious defense.  That big win against San Diego Sol earned the 6th graders 3rd place at SGV! Coach Shannon is very proud of every player and is happy to end the season playing their best basketball.
