5th Graders Take 2nd at SGV

The VC Elite 5th grade girls had their best performance of the season finishing 2nd at the SGV Invitational in Santa Ana.  They cruised through bracket play with victories over SGV and Utah Elite.  In the quarter finals they beat the Triple S Warriors.  The game of the weekend was their semi final win on Sunday over Got Game.  They came from behind late in regulation and managed to pull it off in overtime.  In the championship game they lost to a very big and physical team the Bay Area Bulldogs from San Francisco.  It is a great achievement for this team on perhaps one of the biggest stages for girls basketball in Southern California.  They are definitely ready for V League playoffs.  Keep up the momentum girls!
